Op vrijdag 19 juni 2026 vindt het jaarlijkse VU Compliance Symposium plaats met als thema: “In Turbulent Times Compliance Counts!”

In een tijd van toenemende geopolitieke spanningen, strengere sanctieregimes en snelle technologische ontwikkelingen veranderen compliance- en integriteitsrisico’s in hoog tempo. Organisaties krijgen steeds vaker te maken met risico’s rondom derde partijen, cyberdreigingen, verstoringen in de keten en beperkingen ten aanzien van data en technologie.

Tijdens het symposium wordt ingegaan op de vraag hoe legal, compliance en risk professionals kunnen bijdragen aan het versterken van integriteit, vertrouwen en weerbaarheid in deze complexe en dynamische context.

Het symposium zal plaatsvinden op VU Amsterdam en wordt georganiseerd door de VU Executive Master of Compliance & Integrity Management en de leergang VU FEC-Risk Expert, in samenwerking met de Journal Compliance, Ethics & Sustainability (CES), De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, PwC en de Vereniging voor Compliance Professionals (VCO).

On Friday, 19 June 2026, the annual VU Compliance Symposium will take place.

This year’s theme is: “In Turbulent Times Compliance Counts!”

Increased geopolitical tensions, expanding sanctions regimes, and rapid technological change are profoundly reshaping compliance and integrity risks for organisations operating across borders. Companies face growing exposure to third-party misconduct, cyber vulnerabilities, disrupted supply chains, and restrictions on data and technology.

This symposium examines how legal, compliance, and risk professionals can reinforce integrity, trust, and resilience in an increasingly volatile and fragmented environment.

The symposium will take place at VU Amsterdam and is organised by the VU Executive Master of Compliance & Integrity Management and the VU FEC Risk expert programme in collaboration with the Journal Compliance, Ethics & Sustainability (CES), De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, PwC and the Association of Compliance Professionals (VCO).
